2019 WFCA State Tournament Elimination Rounds Results

The Wisconsin Forensics Coaches' Association (WFCA) announces the champions of the 2019 WFCA State Tournament.  The event was held at the Wisconsin State Capitol and DeForest Middle and High Schools on April 5-6. The tournament marks the capstone of high school competitive speech activities for Wisconsin students. This year, over 1000 students from 73 schools across the state competed in 19 events.

Coach Scott Peterson from Eau Claire North High School was awarded the William Hintz Memorial Award for Coaching Excellence.

Six senior students received $1000 scholarships from the WFCA:

Emily Cash from Appleton West High School
Emily Chu from Arrowhead High School
Erin Gretzinger from Appleton East High School
Garrick Hartley from Sauk Prairie High School
Arjun Shreekumar from Brookfield East High School

In team awards, James Madison Memorial High School was named Division 1 State Champion, River Falls High School was named Division 2 State Champion, and St. Lawrence Seminary High School was named Division 3 State Champion.
